Please join us for a time of worshipping God and fellowshipping together.

Message: A Building Joined Together

Speaker: Eric Shaw

Worship Team: Higher Ground Worship Team

We are called into a body where we are no longer to be strangers to each other. For a building to rise and stand tall as a temple it must be connected well. We see the tragedy that happens when that is not true in the impact of the earthquake in Haiti. The buildings were not joined well enough to withstand the forces which came upon them. Are we connected well enough to Christ that we are thus connected solidly to one another in the building he is building? Our unity in Christ should produce relationships that transcend cultural, religious and racial differences. We should be friends with one another because we are friends with God. We can be friends because we meet in the presence of God who calls us all his friends. We are made a body to provide a home where the Spirit can dwell and where all people who love Jesus can meet in that Spirit.

No Unity, No Community
~ Charles Albrecht

In Ephesians, Paul reminds readers that gentile Christians are not inferior to or separate from Jewish Christians. And as the believers mature, Paul is encouraging them to remain united and strong in their faith. Paul felt it a privilege to be able to share this good news. And today, this message of unity is still as relevant as it was in Ephesus. (Ephesians 3:6)

Prayer for Worship Services

Bad Weather Shelter

Thank you to those who have been on standby for the nights the shelter was open dependent on weather. On none of our nights did the shelter open because rain was not forecast nor was the temperature below 40 degrees. However, all future nights through January and February the shelter is open regardless of weather.

We will be joining Altadena Baptist in serving at the bad weather shelter 6pm-9pm on the following dates:

• January 3, 17, 31 and February 14, 28
(open regardless of weather)

• March 14 (open according to weather)

We need 5 people for each date we are serving. Please sign up with Pastor Eric today, if you would like to serve.
