Where is Jesus?

~Brian Wilson

Three days after Jesus' death on the cross, two of his disciples were walking away from Jerusalem, defeated and without hope. A stranger began to walk with them, challenged their assumptions, and showed them that scripture predicted the events they had lived through. By the time he was finished, they had changed their point of view and were convinced Jesus was truly the Son of God, the Messiah they had waited for.

The resurrection shows God can miraculously take what looks to us like the worst situation and turn it into the best, a great leson in hope. Don't give up and walk away.

If the disciples had remembered Jesus' teaching as they lived this weekend, they might have had a different outlook. They were yet to see the mightiest works of Jesus. We too are yet to see the mightiest works of Jesus, if we will believe and wait.

What did Jesus declare in the resurrection?

  • Victory over the powers of darkness
  • Forgiveness or sins
  • Healing of hurts
  • Hope for life beyond death

It takes nothing short of a miracle. Jesus is all about miracles. After the resurrection Jesus spoke these words: Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your mines? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have (Luke 24:38-39).

Jesus desires an intimate relationship with you and me. Take the opportunity to live in an active relationship with him. Stay close. Expect another miracle. And another!
