This weekend is celebrated in the Christian traditions as
Palm Sunday. Jesus entered Jerusalem in a triumphant procession.
However, in a few days things were different. The first part
of the week Jesus cleared the temple of moneychangers and
later taught in the temple. But by the middle of the week
a plot was developing to get him out of the way. Jesus was
a threat to the establishment. The plot the establishment
hatched to get rid of him ended up being so successful that
it ultimately destroyed the establishment. By the next Sunday
morning everyone would life in a very different world. (Matthew
26:1-5; Matthew 21:1-11; mark 11:1-10; Luke 19:29-44; John
12:12-19).
