Until Christ
is Formed in You

In Galatians 4:19, Paul uses a phrase as he writes to the
Galatians, “My little children, for whom I am again
in the pain of childbirth until Christ is formed in you,
. . ..” He is writing about how God desires to work
in lives to change them to be like Jesus. The process is
our daily life as we become conformed to the image of Jesus.
We participate by trusting God’s love and wisdom. It
is not what we do, but what we are willing to let God do
as we live in an active relationship with our Lord. As we
move from celebrating the life, death and resurrection of
Jesus to the Ascension and sending of the Spirit, may we
focus on the path God makes available for our transformation.
