In His Presence

God promised Moses that his Presence would
accompany Israel as they entered the Promised Land. Without
His Presence, the nation would not stand out from the rest
of society or be able to fulfill their purpose. So it is
with us. Unless we actively participate with God’s
personal Presence, we will not as effectively be guided into
His purposes or stand out to the world around us.
“Moses said to the LORD, ‘You have been telling
me, “Lead these people,” but you have not let
me know whom you will send with me.’” The LORD
replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will
give you rest.” Then Moses said to him, “If your
Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.
What else will distinguish me and your people from all the
other people on the face of the earth?” – Exodus
33:12-16
