Worship: Response to
God’s Love and Grace

In John 4:19-26, we read phrases such as “true worshipers,”
“worship in spirit and truth,” “kind of
worshipers the Father seeks,” etc. What do they indicate
for us?
Worship includes esteeming God, encountering God, and, yes,
enjoying God. When we experience God in worship in these ways
it inspires us to share God’s grace, the story of the
cross, and God’s love. Our response is a life that brings
honor and glory to God and is fully given to God and his purposes.
The time and place of worship is not the most relevant part.
In fact, we can worship anywhere. But worship must be based
on who and what God is - Spirit.
