| Christ
in You – the
Hope of Glory
~ Katherine Carter
In Paul’s letter to the church in Colossi, he tells
them that Christ in them is the “hope of glory” (Col.
1:27). What did he mean by that? The most common explanation
is that he was referring to the hope of the resurrection
that the Colossians would surely see now that they were believers.
But, there is much more to unpack in Paul’s statement.
The” hope of glory” is a possibility that each
believer brings into the everyday situations they walk into.
It is Christ living in us that empowers us to fulfill the
commission He gave us. (Mark 16:15-18, Luke 24:49)
