A Holy Priesthood

All Christians are called as priests, and as priests we are
called to do the work of the priesthood. 1 Peter 2:5 says,
"You also, like living stones, are being built into a
spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual
sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
What are these spiritual sacrifices? They include taking
the fruit that the Spirit creates in us– things like
love, joy, and peace–and sharing them with others. Since
Christians can find their own ministries in the gifts and
fruits that have been graced to them by the Spirit, official
church ministries and programs are not the only avenues for
ministry.
