| The Bread and Wine -
Bridge from Guilt and Fear to Joy and Hope

Guilt and fear began in the Garden of Eden. Grace
and courage declared victory over this guilt and fear in
the
Garden of Gethsemane. When Adam and Eve heard the footsteps
of God in the Garden of Eden they trembled with guilt and
fear. When the disciples heard the footsteps of Jesus (after
they understood) on Resurrection Sunday it brought joy and
hope. The bread and wine tell us we can live in peace rather
than fear – grace rather than guilt. How has the bread
and wine changed the picture in your life? Consider the difference.
