and Disappointment at the Big Party

In Luke 15, Jesus tells three parables about lost things,
and the joy that results when they're found. The most personal
of these – especially if you're a parent – is
of the Lost Son, also called the Prodigal Son. The father's
joy at the return of his repentant son is one of the most
powerful pictures of God's love in the Bible. Can we learn
some lessons about Christianity from this story? Let's examine
it closely and see.
