Passion for Jesus

The key to being an effective disciple of Jesus is to know
and love him. In our individual lives this is reflected in
responsiveness to Jesus’ guidance and a readiness to
confess our failures. Jesus keeps the way clear for us to
come to him. His death offers purification of our sinful
lives. Have you considered that Jesus prays to the Father
for you? He wants to keep us cleansed and filled with the
Father’s love. Jesus wants us close enough to actually
live in him. In this way we can walk with him and become
more like him. We can live as we were created to live. This
call has existed from the beginning. It has newness in the
resurrected Jesus as we abide in him. Jesus’ love is
not just a theoretical theological belief but a dynamic and
transforming embrace he has for each human being. (1 John
2:1-28).
