The nature of God is love. This love of God
came in the flesh in Jesus. It is the love in which we are
invited to dwell and have dwell in us. God works with us
to bring that love to maturity in him through the power of
the Holy Spirit. Our culture has a shallow, twisted and selfish
view of love. People think love should be a good experience
(feeling) rather than a willingness to sacrifice for another.
True love is like God – holy, just and perfect. As
we become like Jesus we will love as he does. (1 John 4:7-21)
