| Faith in the
Son for Victory in Life

At Jesus’ baptism and at the transfiguration the Father
declared that Jesus is the Son of God. Through Jesus’ birth,
life, death and resurrection we find not only the gift of
eternal life but victory in this life as well. Believing
Jesus does not free us from the troubles of this life but
it does liberate us from a life of sin bringing us from darkness
into light. Living in the light transforms us. Light is part
of the purification process. Evil grows in darkness. We become
like Jesus in the light. (1 John 5:1-21)
