Thursday Evening Bible Study
The 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings each month in 2008 Brian Wilson
will lead a study called Walking with the Savior, reading F. LaGard
Smith’s book The Daily Bible 30 Days with Jesus. The book
combines the Gospel accounts in a single chronological story.
The good news about Christ, along with devotional reflections,
shows how Jesus modeled his life and bring practical applications
that can energize your walk with Jesus. If interested please contact
Brian to order a book for you. The studies are from 7 p.m. to
8 p.m. at ABC.

Saturday
Bible Study
Join Richard Lane from 4:45 to 5:45 pm and read through books
of the New Testament. Learn to read the Bible for its true meaning
- thinking through what is being said, to whom, and for what
purpose. Even if you are not able to come every week, come as
often as you can. Future studies will be in the bungalow next
to the Sanctuary at ABC.

Box Tops for Education
Eliot Middle School is participating
in the Box Tops for Education program. We can assist Eliot by
saving box tops from selected products. Please see information
on the box in the lobby or contact Ron Dailey.

Message: Living
Water and Your
Speaker:
Eric
Shaw
Worship
Team: CLF Worship
Team
Are you empty or full? Thirsty? Or Satisfied?
How do you come here before God? If you were equipped
with
a fuel gauge, how do you think it would read? Jesus
says if we are thirsty (running on empty) he has a
drink for us that will fill us to overflowing. Just
one thing to consider, we need to be ready for it to
overflow to others because Jesus will give us more
than we need for ourselves. Looking forward prophetically,
Isaiah 55 speaks of anyone who thirsts is to come to
the water and drink. You don’t have to have money.
It is free for the accepti9ng (v. 1). When this living
water flows freely in our lives we can have joy, peace,
exuberant expressions of live, and a quality of life
that is unexplainable. The invitation to let the living
water satisfy our thirst is the invitation to abundant
living. (John 7:37-39; Isaiah 55)

Next Week 5/10/08
Responding to the Holy Spirit in “Just
Regular” Living Eric Shaw
Does God divide our lives into “sacred” and “secular” in
the way he gifts us and works with us? Is the person who
shines shoes to the glory of God different than the evangelist
who preaches sermons to bring people to Christ? When God
calls us, he calls us to a relationship first and foremost.
In that relationship he calls us to participate in his creation
in that way that reflects his will. Therefore, the Holy Spirit
does not just fill us to do “holy” and “ministry” actions,
but every action in life that we are called upon to do. (Acts
6:1-7)

Altadena Food Pantry: The last Saturday
of each month Community Life Fellowship participates along
with Altadena Baptist Church in distributing food to the
needy. The location is just a couple of blocks from where
we meet for worship. The time is from 9:45 a.m. until about
noon. Please consider being involved in this outreach service.
If you could help, please see Brian Wilson.
The food pantry also needs the following four items: peanut
butter, jelly, juice, and cereal. If you would be willing
to help you may bring the donations to the Saturday evening
service and they will be delivered to the food pantry.
Thank you for supporting those in need.
